About Us

Welcome to Back Porch Talkin'

Back Porch Talkin' is a veteran-owned small business built around a simple idea.

Some of life's best conversations don't happen in a boardroom. They happen leaning against a fence, around a grill, at the ballpark, or sitting on a back porch after the day's work is done. That's where people tell the truth, solve problems, disagree, laugh, and remind each other what matters.

That's the spirit behind everything we create.

Our designs are rooted in faith, family, personal responsibility, service, sacrifice, humor, and the kind of common sense that doesn't need to be shouted to be heard. Some designs will make people laugh. Some will make people think. Some might make someone uncomfortable. That's alright. Conversations worth having usually do.

As a veteran-owned business, service didn't stop when the uniform came off. It simply took a different form. Back Porch Talkin' exists to create quality, American-inspired products that people are proud to wear while carrying messages worth talking about.

You Matter. Stop 22.

One of those messages is You Matter. Stop 22.

That design isn't just another graphic.

Throughout my military career and in the years that followed, suicide touched my life more than once. Not every story is mine to tell, but every one of them reminds me there are still people who need to hear the same simple truth.

You matter.

Not because of your rank, your job, your accomplishments, or what you did yesterday. You matter because you're here.

Our service mission is simple: Changing Today, What I Don't Want To Be Tomorrow.

That isn't about becoming perfect. It's about deciding that tomorrow deserves a better version of ourselves than yesterday gave it. Sometimes that means asking for help. Sometimes it means offering it. Sometimes it simply means starting a conversation that otherwise never would have happened.

- If a shirt starts one conversation...

- If one person decides to check on a friend...

- If someone who feels alone realizes they aren't...

Then it has already done exactly what it was made to do.

Every conversation has to start somewhere. Sometimes it starts on a back porch. Sometimes it starts at a backyard cookout. Sometimes it starts because somebody read the back of a T-shirt.

However it starts, we're glad you're here.

If you or someone you know is struggling, don't carry it alone. Contact the Veterans Crisis Line by dialing 988 and pressing 1, or text 838255. Help is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Thank you for stopping by.

Pull up a chair. The conversation's just getting started.
